In February, the fastest-selling new car in Seattle was the Nissan Rogue. But in March, a different Nissan took over that spot, punting the rest of the top five back a few spaces and some of it out of the top spots, according to a new report.
The fastest-selling cars in January largely leaned toward luxury brands and that trend continued in February among used cars. In March, the trend in new cars continued toward mid-size SUVs, according to automotive research firm iSeeCars.com.

But another type of car began creeping to the top of the rankings -- electric vehicles.
“While the demand for large SUVs and luxury vehicles has continued for the third consecutive month, many alternative fuel vehicles debuted on the list as gas prices continue to rise,” iSeeCars executive analyst Karl Brauer said.
Nationally, the Chevrolet Corvette took the top spot, just as it did in January and February.

The average days to sell most cars also shrank, showing that overall cars and trucks sold much more quickly in March than February, the latter of which had cars languishing on lots longer than in January. Brauer said this could be because of more people getting stimulus checks and trying to get ahead of inventory shortages.
