Report: In February these cars, trucks sold the fastest in Seattle

In January, the fastest-selling car in Seattle was the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. But in February, a new car took over that spot, punting the rest of the top five back a few spaces, according to a new report.

The fastest-selling cars in January largely leaned toward luxury brands, and while that trend continued in February among used cars, the trend in new cars leaned toward mid-size SUVs, according to automotive research firm iSeeCars.com.

“While the list reflects luxury vehicles as the hottest sellers, Toyota’s prevalence on the list shows that dependable vehicles capable of strong value retention are also popular among consumers,” iSeeCars Executive Analyst Karl Brauer said. “The iconic Land Cruiser has seen an increase of sales since Toyota announced 2021 as its final year of production.”

Nationally, the luxury brand trend continued, with the Chevrolet Corvette taking the top spot.

But, the average days to sell most cars grew, showing that overall cars and trucks sold slower in February than January. Brauer said this could be because of more cars entering the market after dwindling numbers in 2020, "or because fewer people are buying cars due to winter storms or because they are waiting for their tax returns and stimulus checks.”
