A weekend highlighted by Halloween brings a barrage of fun things to see and do in Seattle.

From harvest parties to Halloween-themed dances, pub crawls and haunted houses, keep reading for the scoop on where to find this weekend's spooktacular events and festivals. And if you need some costume inspo, check out these ideas.

Halloween parties: Let’s dance

WAMU Theater will be hopping with "sinister sights and rattling sounds that will shock, amaze, chant and astound you" Friday and Saturday. The over-sized Boo! party will feature three themed “realms” to explore and plenty of live music and mayhem.

Local zombies will want to meet up on Saturday for Thrill the World 2021. In addition to the group dance to Michael Jackson’s "Thriller," the event will feature a costume contest, scavenger hunt, live music, beer garden and more.

Revelers will be hopping from bar to bar during the 10th Annual Halloween Pub Crawl in downtown Seattle beginning at 4 p.m. Drink specials, live entertainment and no cover charges.

The 3rd annual Creeptacular will be held at Haven Show Bar & Lounge in Mill Creek on Saturday offering $1,000 in cash and prizes for the best costume wearers.

Remlinger Brewing is hosting Flowmotion’s Funkalicious Halloween Show with McTuff, Cytrus and Chris Poage Band on Saturday in Carnation.

Fremont will be celebrating its infamous troll’s birthday during Trolloween on Sunday with musical and dramatic performances, variety shows, live music and more.

Even dogs will have their day on Sunday at Peddler Brewing Company’s Dogs of Peddler Halloween Costume Party.

Theatre: Scary and silly tales

Composed and performed by actor K. Brian Neel, 18th & Union presents "The Luring Well." The tale is about two kids who discover a bottomless well in the woods and proceed to toss in evil things they find.

At Pike Place Market, Unexpected Productions will continue showings of "Campfire Ghost Stories" where no two shows are exactly alike since the stories are built with suggestions from the audience.

Films: Horror movies redefined

Spooky movies will be shown all weekend at the Egyptian Theater beginning with the 2021 Slay Film Fest. A small group of local filmmakers were tasked with creating their own homemade short horror film and this is what they came up with. Then on Sunday, it’s time to laugh with SIFF’s presentation of Collide-O-Scope – an annual Halloween celebration of one-of-kind found footage, oddball videos, and bone-chilling music remixed and mashed up into one crazy show.

Tours: "Real" ghost stories

The Northwest Museum of Legends and Lore offer two Capitol Hill Historical Ghost Tours on Saturday featuring a dozen tales of ghostly adventures in various locations.

The city of Concrete is offering Haunted Town Tours on Saturday featuring characters and legends from the past popping up along the way. Even better, you get to choose from two different endings to finish your journey.

Music: Nancy Wilson, chamber music of horrors, more

Dystopian State Brewery in Tacoma welcomes the KASA String quartet on Sunday for a Chamber Music of Horrors beginning at 3 p.m. Enjoy Halloween-themed music provided by violins, viola and cello.

Nancy Wilson from Heart will be teaming up with the Seattle Symphony on Saturday for an evening of rock and roll on the Benaroya Hall stage. Wilson will sing fan favorites like “Barracuda” and “Crazy on You” along with new tracks from her new solo album, “You and Me.” And when you leave, you’ll still be singing too since every tickets includes a download of the album. What a treat!

The Earshot Jazz Festival continues (through Nov. 7) with performances that are said to convey the social and creative complexities of our times. Festival organizes say, “Live jazz, with real people, in the same room, is one of the best things in the world – now, more than ever."

Fitness: Run for your life

Every holiday provides a great excuse to hold a fun run and this weekend there are plenty.

On Saturday, lace up your shoes and head to Snohomish for The Running Dead race (a zombie-themed race) or to Issaquah for the Monster Mash. On Sunday, Green Lake is where you'll want to be for the Trick or Treat 5K. Or head to Seward Park for the pirate-themed Run Scared or to Redmond for Captain Jack’s Treasure Run.

Dance: 30 years of modern dance

The Chamber Dance Company from the University of Washington is celebrating 30 years of modern dance this weekend with a concert that investigates the empathy, intimacy and confusion that comprise human relationships. The program includes choreography by Camille A. Brown, Joe Goode, Zvi Gotheiner, Shapiro & Smith and Doug Varone. Performance will be held at Meany Hall Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Shows: 40 years of Disney on Ice

The mouse is in the house at Kent’s ShoWare Center this weekend.

Celebrating Disney on Ice’s 40th year, this year’s show, "Dream Big", is playing now through Nov. 1 (then it moves to Everett). Join Moana and Maui on a voyage to restore the stolen heart of Te Fiti. Plus, explore the Land of the Dead as Miguel from Coco brings the festivities of Día de los Muertos to the ice. Then get tangled up in Rapunzel’s hair-raising quest to see the floating lights and travel to the kingdom of Arendelle for a dramatic retelling of "Frozen."

Shopping: Oddities & Curiosities

We can’t think of a better weekend for the Emerald City to host the Oddities & Curiosities Expo at the Washington State Convention Center. Vendors, dealers, artists and small businesses from all over the country have been hand-selected to attend this event bringing a wide selection of weird things like taxidermy, preserved specimens, handcrafted oddities, skulls/bones, funeral collectibles and more.
