With a Seattle holiday in December comes last minute gift shopping along 4th Avenue, crossed fingers the city evades a snowfall that sticks, downtown festivities attracting tipsy Santas and life-sized Gingerbread houses, and of course, the humble holiday chalice that is: a toasty mug of hot chocolate.

It's time to bundle up and brave the Seattle showers to seek just that.
