The past 12 months have had their ups and downs, and Martin covered everything from colorful cultural events to a multitude of protests against the Trump administration. This year we saw our WNBA team take home a third national championship title, a homecoming concert from Pearl Jam which raised millions to fight local homelessness, political conflicts over head taxes and the impending new juvenile detention center, the death of Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen  and a celebration of Sub Pop Record's 30th birthday on Alki Beach.

Check out the gallery to see a visual record of 2018 Seattle.
