While early turnout was low, ballot return reached 42.13% in Seattle according to the latest data from King County Elections. Countywide, 29.79% of all ballots were returned.

While the early results provide a good indicator of who is likely to advance to the general election, the races will not be called until the election is certified after all ballots have been counted. Voters can track their ballots here.

There were two notable change in election results on Friday.

The first was in the race for Seattle city attorney. Abolitionist candidate Nicole Thomas-Kennedy, who was in last place after results were released on election night, now has the lion's share of  votes, with 35.45%. The other challenger for Pete Holmes's seat, Ann Davidson, lead the race most of the week. She fell to second on Friday, with 33.08% of votes.

As more ballots are counted each day, Holmes, the incumbent, seems more and more likely of being squeezed out once the election is certified later this month. He's currently secured 31.19% of votes.

The second notable change came in the race for Position 9 on the Seattle City Council. On election night, Sara Nelson led the pack with 42.36% of votes, while Nikkita Oliver trailed behind her with 34.96%. But Oliver has made up a lot of ground since then. The latest election results show Nelson with 40.05% of votes, with Oliver hot on her heels at 39.21%.
