Iconic Greenwood haunt, Naked City Brewery, to close for good

One last call for brews at Naked City Brewery and Taphouse. The Greenwood institution announced on Facebook Friday that this holiday season will be its last.

The brewery plans to shut down its flowing taps and kitchen on Christmas Eve, offering any beverage for $1 off from now until then, dubbing it the "Saddest Happy Hour."

The 10-year-old public house plans to go out with a bit of a raucous goodbye to stave off the mourning. To that end, the brewery will host live music from noon to midnight on Friday, Dec. 21, and a promise of "lots of laughs.

Naked City Camano Island will be open for business as usual.

The city isn't short on breweries, but it is losing one that fit its community and offered a taste of authentic Seattle brew culture.
