All within a quick day trip from San Francisco, these suites are located in regions with an abundance of natural beauty but require very little to get there (just a full tank of gas!). Throw a personal hot tub into the mix and you’re setting the scene for an immersive, relaxing celebration.

We found a smattering of California hotels with a jacuzzi in the room, many located right on the coast, with impressive views from the warmth of a jetted tub and an ideal location for activities beyond the hotel. You can enjoy coastal excursions including hikes along the water, surfing in the waves, and trips to coffee shops in town. Some of the tubs are perched on balconies overlooking the ocean, while others are nestled away inside; all bring a bit of glamour.

Here, a few California hotels with a jacuzzi in the room:

Ventana Big Sur

This adults-only resort where the redwoods meet the sea is the ultimate romantic stay. With modern yet earthy features, plus your own hot tub and a wood-burning fireplace, this Big Sur hotel sets the scene for a romantic evening.

Inn of the Lost Coast

Located in Humboldt County’s Shelter Cove along the Northern California coastline lies this boutique oceanfront hotel. Quaint yet secluded, the seafoam green-colored inn is the perfect Valentine’s Day getaway especially because of the full-sized, in-room hot tub with the best view of the ocean.

Sea Venture

With 180-degree ocean views and a private hot tub on the deck, this Pismo Beach hotel will relax you like no other. Located right on the sand, the hotel provides not only an ideal stay in your own room but perfect positioning for a dip in the ocean before coming right back to your hot tub with a bottle of wine.

Azure Palm Hot Springs

You’ll truly feel as if you’re in your very own oasis when you stay at this Palm Springs resort. With an in-room private mineral spring soaking tub and complimentary access to the spa’s Himalayan Salt Room, you and your partner can unwind and dine in the lap of luxury.

Inn at Playa del Rey

Located just south of the Santa Monica Pier, the location of the inn provides countless excursions around Los Angeles. Your suite will be difficult to leave as you’ll enjoy a jetted tub, a double-sided fireplace that can be used both in the bedroom and bathroom, and a quaint balcony overlooking the Ballona wetlands.

Inn Above Tide

This stunning penthouse in Sausalito boasts unmatched views of the San Francisco skyline and Golden Gate Bridge from every room in the luxurious suite. This is the place to be for a high-end staycation in the Bay Area!

Avila Village Inn

For a more cozy and forested stay, the Avila Village Inn is the ideal spot, within close proximity to both the town of San Luis Obispo and the beach. The Hot Tub Deluxe Suite is a romantic escape, with the hot tub placed right on the balcony overlooking the tree groves.
