Airlines like Alaska and Delta allow flight changes to Main Cabin bookings, while deeply discounted saver fares are not as flexible should you need to rebook.

Costco deals on airline gift cards

Costco still has discounted airline gift cards in stock, though supplies are limited so it’s best to nab these deals while available. Discounted gift cards include Alaska, Hawaiian and Southwest with e-cards emailed within 24 hours of purchase.  

There are no expiration dates for these gift cards, so they offer an excellent way to save on future travels.

While shoppers must be Costco members to save on Alaska Airlines with $500 gift certificates offered at $449.99, the Hawaiian and Southwest gift certificates are available to members and non-members alike. Hawaiian gift cards for $500 are offered at $439.99, while Southwest’s $500 gift cards are offered at $449.99.

Alaska Airlines fare sale from $49

Book by Jan. 11 to save on airfare with Alaska Airlines for flights flown through March 9.

Current one-way deals with Alaska Airlines include Seattle (SEA) to Portland (PDX) from $49, Seattle to Orange County (SNA) from $79, Seattle to Santa Rosa (STS) from $99, and Seattle to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) from $129.

Delta Air Lines deals on winter travel

Escape winter with current Delta airfare deals to sunny destinations starting at $168 roundtrip for Main Cabin.

Sample Seattle (SEA) fares include roundtrip flights to Phoenix (PHX) for $168, to Miami (MIA) for $266, and to Puerto Vallarta (PVR) for $329.

Frontier Airlines savings up to 90%

Use promo code SAVE90 for steep discounts on Frontier for bookings made through Jan. 4, with applicable travel dates Jan. 11-April 14.

Save on roundtrip fares between Seattle (SEA) and Denver (DEN) from $44, between Seattle and Las Vegas (LAS) from $50, or between Seattle and San Francisco (SFO) for $91.

Hawaiian’s new year sale

Save on flights now through March with Hawaiian’s new year sale.

Current deals on Hawaiian Airlines include one-way fares from Seattle (SEA) to Honolulu (HNL) or from Seattle to Kahului (OGG) from $169 for Main Cabin Basic or $199 Main Cabin.

Spirit Airlines savings up to 60%

Save up to 60% off fares with promo code 60PCT during Spirit’s current fare sale, on now through 11:59 p.m. EST on Jan. 4. Savings applies to travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays between Jan. 5 and March 2.
