ABC Kids/Disney

The popular kids' show will finally be available for streaming in the US.

Anyone that has young kids is probably familiar with the Australian kid's show "Bluey," which follows the everyday life of a blue heeler puppy named – you guessed it – Bluey. Originally airing on ABC Kids in Australia, it’s been nearly impossible to stream the animated TV show here in the United States until Disney acquired the international broadcasting rights and can show it on its various platforms.

And now after nearly a year since it was first released, the 3rd season of "Bluey" is being released on Disney+ on August 10th. Well, at least the first 26 episodes of the season will be released with this first batch, with the second half (the other 26 episodes) to be added to the streaming service at a later date.

This is a big deal for viewers here in the US because you won’t have to wait for the DVD release or watch for it to air on Disney Junior or the Disney Channel anymore. All you’ll have to do is get signed up for Disney+ and you’ll be able to watch it on-demand whenever you want.

If you haven’t seen the show yet, you might be surprised at just how popular it is. According to Parrot Analytics, "Bluey" has had 17.2x the demand of the average TV show in the country in the last 30 days. It also ranks in the 98.4th-percentile in the children's genre, meaning it has more demand than 98.4% of the other kids' shows in the US.

Much of this show’s popularity can be attributed to the energetic and imaginative nature of the main character, combined with the family values focused on during the show as it follows Bluey, her parents (Bandit and Chilli), and her sister, Bingo. The 7-minute episodes showcase the importance of family and what it takes during everyday life to start growing up and exploring the world.

So if you want to catch the newest season of "Bluey," sign up for Disney+ and get ready to watch it with your kids on August 10th!
