It's not yet spring, but midday sunshine and recent dry weather in Seattle has us hanging on the telephone thinking of summer. Same with the folks at Woodland Park Zoo , apparently, who made their first ZooTunes lineup announcement this week.

One way or another, Blondie will perform for ZooTunes on Sunday, Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday, Feb. 28.
The concert series is held annually in the North Meadow, with "festival style" seating. The show will go on in inclement weather, so concert-goers should prepare for rain if applicable.
Proceeds from ZooTunes benefits animal care at Woodland Park Zoo, wildlife conservation projects and educational programs.

Blondie was announced as part of the concert series before other artists were, but doesn't represent the whole lineup. More shows will be announced in the coming weeks, and performances will be held all summer long. In 2019, the final lineup was announced at the end of April and included bands like Indigo Girls and The B-52s.
