In the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic, having credible, accessible information is crucial to the health and wellbeing of the community.

Stay informed with our list that includes local, state and national resources for issues related to public health, unemployment benefits, travel advisories and school lunch information.

Local Public Health Resources:

Seattle & King County Public Health: King County's Public Health Department has a plethora of up-to-date information on the local efforts to stop the spread of the virus including fact sheets, information on social distancing guidelines and limits on gatherings and guidance for those who think they might have COVID-19.

2-1-1 Information Line: Kitsap County created an information line to help answer questions from the public about the novel coronavirus. The calls will be directed to the 2-1-1 center in Bremerton and the line will be available from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. The call line is not designed to help people who think they needed to be tested for the virus or need medical care, but rather is meant to assist with any questions or challenges people are having.

City of Seattle Resources:

Emergency Food Vouchers: The city is created a $5 million fund to provide emergency food vouchers to approximately 6,250 families in need. Vouchers may be used to purchase items from any Safeway store in the state of Washington.

Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs: This office has resources for immigrants who want to know how the issue of public charge might affect their ability to access healthcare during the outbreak.

Office of Labor Standards: Learn more about how the city's Paid Sick Leave and Safe Time Ordinance applies to the current outbreak.

Small Business Stabilization Fund: This $1.5 million emergency fund offers financial support for small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. Grants of up to $10,000 for qualifying businesses are available.

Student Lunch Support: During the closure of Seattle Public Schools, free meals will be distributed to students at various sites throughout the city.

State Resources:

Washington Department of Health: The department has up-to-date facts and resources on the outbreak in the state broken down by county. They also set up a call center to answer public health questions which can be reached at 1-800-525-0127.

Washington's Employment Security Department: The department has information about unemployment benefits and assistance for workers who have been laid off or furloughed including an easy-to-read graphic comparing common scenarios and what benefits are available.

Washington Health Plan Finder: A special enrollment period is now available for individuals who are uninsured during the outbreak.

Federal Resources:

US Department of Labor: The department has information about workplace safety, fair labor standards and new guidelines for those seeking unemployment insurance.

US Department of State: The State Department has a list of the latest travel advisories and has recommended that US citizens reconsider travel abroad amid border restrictions.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: The largest public heath institute in the county, the CDC has a wealth of credible information updated daily including the latest guidelines from the government.

World Health Organization: This agency of the United Nations has up-to-date situation reports on cases around the globe, information about protective measures and a list of widely circulating coronavirus myths.
