950 KJR will broadcast all home and away games for the Kraken, who’ll debut later this year, with selected games on 96.5 JACK FM. The radio broadcast will be led by Kraken team broadcaster Everett Fitzhugh, who will provide play-by-play for all games.

Kraken games will be streamed on iHeartRadio.com and the iHeartRadio app. 950 KJR will also broadcast live regularly from Climate Pledge Arena and the Kraken Training Center at Northgate Mall.

“We are extremely excited to bring Seattle’s newest professional franchise to the airwaves,” Rich Moore, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Seattle, said in a press release. “It will be beyond fun helping build up this great fan base from the start, offering additional content and unique access on multiple platforms.”

As part of the agreement, iHeartMedia Seattle will also be a promotional partner for the music and live entertainment at Climate Pledge Arena, the $900 million arena at the Seattle center that will house the Kraken and the WNBA’s Seattle Storm.

Climate Pledge Arena is expected to host more than 80 concerts and live events each year.

“We are thrilled to partner with iHeartMedia in Seattle,” Rosie Selle, Vice President of Marketing for Climate Pledge Arena, said in a statement. "We look forward to seeing their vast promotional power support the world-class music and events we intend to attract to Climate Pledge Arena.”
