Whidbey Island boasts massive chef's kitchen rental for Thanksgiving

As Thanksgiving approaches and plans for cross-country travel waver in wake of the novel coronavirus, one nearby vacation home is tempting Seattleites for a close holiday staycation with one of the best kitchens for all things Thanksgiving dinner and copious loaves of banana bread.

In preparation for a holiday feast, international vacation rental company Vacasa rounded up the top six chef-inspired kitchens it could find across the United States.

Why does the roundup matter? Because we're tired of biting our nails in wake of a national election, and one Washington rental reigns at the top of Vacasa's list. Scroll down to learn more.

Given Whidbey Island is already a hot spot for all things shellfish, the home divvies out a waterfront patio primed for clambakes. Inside, lucky renters can indulge in an open layout where the kitchen, dining room and living area all congregate into one smooth space for cooking and chatting synonymously.

Given the farmhouse’s open space, there’s really no such thing as to "too many cooks in the kitchen" alongside the brand-new gourmet kitchen. While whipping up something sweet or savory, bakers and cooks can enjoy a large center island with four barstools, enormous refrigerator and freezer, an elongated counter space, two deep sinks – one which overlooks the islands beyond the window – six gas stove burners and copious amounts of oven space for battling bakes.

While outside, guests can not only enjoy glimpses of bald eagles flying above or orcas swimming below in the bay, but also an additional outdoor kitchen with an extended living and dining space surrounded by Whidbey’s renowned scenery.
