Photos from the aftermath of Seattle's 12th snowiest day

Leading up to the weekend, volatile weather models began to predict a snowstorm would blow into Seattle and the rest of Western Washington. By the end of Saturday, the city had accumulated almost 9 inches of snow.

It turned into a snow day. Golf courses were closed for "snow play" and streets turned into ski resorts.

The snow didn't stop Saturday, either, and continued on into Sunday morning. The National Weather Service predicted it would turn to rain by Sunday night.
