Foodies in Seattle are gearing up for an entire month of eating out as Seattle Restaurant Week (SRW) plans its return for April. The month-long promotion features over 200 participating restaurants offering special prix-fixe menus at excellent prices, giving many diners the chance to explore the region's vast culinary scene.

The last installation of SRW occurred in fall 2020 as many restaurants offered outdoor seating and takeout options to accommodate diners amid COVID-19 restrictions.

Now, with indoor dining resuming at 50% capacity as part of the state's reopening plan, restaurants are expanding their options to include in-person dining as well as takeout, meal-kits and delivery.

The promotion features $20 lunches and $35 or $50 dinner options, making it an excellent deal to try out some new restaurants.

The event also features a "buy one, give one" option to donate $10 to Good Food Kitchens, a nonprofit which helps distribute free meals to those in need.

The eateries aren't just in Seattle either — nearby restaurants in Bellevue, Edmonds, Kirkland and Tukwila are also participating, giving residents plenty of chances to discover a new favorite spot and support local businesses as they recover from the economic impacts of the pandemic that has caused over 90 restaurants in the area to permanently close.

From innovative Indian street food to upscale Italian fare, here's some of the deals we are eyeing as the month-long promotion kicks off. A full list of participating restaurants can be found here.

Their three-course menu features entrees of smoked chicken breast with gnocchi, mushroom risotto and a seafood stew with cod, mussels and clams in a savory saffron broth. A strawberry crepe topped with chocolate ganache and a crunchy toffee crumble finishes the meal on a sweet note.
