Steven Soderbergh will be filming his next movie, "KIMI," in the Emerald City. According to the casting director's website, they'll be casting non union paid extras in Seattle.
The movie will star Zoë Kravitz as an "agoraphobic tech worker who must venture out of her home and into protest-filled Seattle streets when she suspects she has evidence of a violent crime." It will also include "Jane the Virgin" star Jaime Camil and Byron Bowers, according to Deadline. David Koepp, who co-wrote the screenplays of "Jurassic Park," "Mission: Impossible," and "Spider-Man," wrote the script for "KIMI."
The casting director's website stressed that shooting would follow COVID-19 protocols. Anyone over the age of 18 is encouraged to apply for a job that would require all-day obligations for $133.52 per 8 hours and overtime for over 8 hours. Extras will also be paid $50 for a COVID-19 test and given a link to fill out the COVID-19 safety and training that same day.

Soderbergh hasn't shot a movie in Seattle yet, but has been making films at a prolific pace since 1989 when he debuted with "Sex, Lies and Videotape." In addition to the "Ocean's Eleven" remake and subsequent sequels, he has directed the almost-prescient "Contagion," the Academy Award-winning "Traffic," and "Let Them All Talk," his most recent film released in 2020.
And Steven, try to include the P-I globe in there, OK?
