Routes: Fare sales from Seattle, Delta deals on award travel, Hawaiian vacation packages, more airline news

It’s not too late to save on holiday travel, and that extends to continued airfare deals from Seattle all week.

While hotel and resort cyber deals are quickly expiring, Seattle travelers will still find a number of airline deals in the next few days.

This week’s airlines news includes mileage redemption fares with Delta starting at just 4,000 miles roundtrip, while fares from Spirit start at $48 and fares from Southwest start at $58 for one-way travel.

Alaska savings for new members, mileage bonus

Alaska Airlines is inviting new travelers to sign up for a free Alaska Mileage Plan account. In doing so, new Mileage Plan members will receive $25 off their next flight purchased within 28 days of enrollment.

Alaska Airlines gift certificates are also now available in time for the holiday season. Alaska Airlines gift certificates never expire and may be printed or emailed directly to recipients.

There are also just a few weeks left to earn a bonus on Alaska mileage purchases. Now through Dec. 23, guests will receive up to a 50% bonus when purchasing miles for themselves or as a gift for someone else. Award travel on Alaska Airlines starts at 5,000 miles one-way, plus taxes and fees starting at $5.60.

Delta deals on award travel

Delta is currently offering SkyMiles award redemption deals with round-trip airfare from Seattle starting at just 4,000 miles. Travelers pay taxes and fees on award travel, starting at $11.20 roundtrip.

Sample airfare deals from Seattle (SEA) include travel to Spokane (GEG) for 4,000 miles roundtrip, to Las Vegas (LAS) or Los Angeles (LAX) for 5,000 miles roundtrip and to Salt Lake City (SLC) for 9,000 miles roundtrip.

Hawaiian Airlines vacation package savings

Hawaiian Airlines has new vacation package offerings potentially saving travelers hundreds of dollars on flight and hotel combinations. Current deals include travel from Seattle (SEA) to Kihei, Maui (OGG).

Sample packages include round-trip airfare with a 7-night stay at Maui Beach Vacation Club starting at $1,358 for February travel dates or round-trip airfare with a 7-night stay at Aston at the Maui Banyan starting at $1,482 for January travel dates.  

All guests traveling to the Hawaiian Islands must comply with the state’s Safe Travels requirements.

Southwest Cyber Sale

Southwest’s Cyber Sale is on now through Dec. 2, with one-way fares from Seattle starting at $54.

Sample fares include Seattle (SEA) to San Francisco (SFO) for $54, Seattle to Denver (DEN) starting at $59, and Seattle to Los Angeles (LAX) starting at $64 each way.

Spirit fares less than $100

Seattle travelers will find several new sale fares this week from Spirit Airlines, with many offered below $100 each way.

Sample fares from Seattle (SEA) include flights to Las Vegas (LAS) starting at $48, to Dallas (DFW) starting at $67, to San Diego (SAN) starting at $69, and to Orange County (SNA) starting at $80 each way.
