Coachella 2023 tickets: How to get passes for the festival

By Kristin Scharkey

It’s official: Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK and Frank Ocean are headlining this year’s Coachella music festival, producer Goldenvoice revealed Tuesday.

The lineup announcement ends days of internet rumors about the 2023 festival, with music fans making a wide range of guesses about who would top this year’s bill. (Goldenvoice founder Paul Tollett previously told the Los Angeles Times that Ocean would be a headliner.)

With the lineup poster now making the rounds — and your favorite acts potentially on the bill — you might be on the lookout for tickets and a place to stay in the California desert. Here’s what we know about passes and the event, officially called the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

When is Coachella 2023?

The festival is happening over two weekends April 14-16 and 21-23 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The grounds are about 25 miles southeast of the city of Palm Springs.

When does the Coachella lineup come out?

Festival producer Goldenvoice dropped the 2023 lineup on Tuesday, Jan. 10. Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK and Frank Ocean are headlining the festival, with other notable acts including Björk, Rosalía and Calvin Harris.

How to get Coachella tickets

The Coachella ticket presale begins at 11 a.m. PST on Jan. 13. According to Goldenvoice, festivalgoers can register for access to passes at coachella.com. "Very limited Weekend 1 passes remain," the producer tweeted Tuesday. "For your best chance at passes, look to Weekend 2."

Folks who purchased tickets for the 2022 festival will get early access starting at 11 a.m. PST on Jan. 11, according to Goldenvoice. "To access the Loyalty Presale, register with the same email that purchased or registered a wristband last year," the producer tweeted.

Where to stay for Coachella

There are plenty of hotels and short-term rentals available in the Coachella Valley, a collection of nine cities in Southern California. While you may be most familiar with Palm Springs, the city is a good 30-minute drive from the festival grounds; so, if you’re hoping to tumble into bed right after the late-night acts, you’ll want to choose acommodations closer to the venue, like in the city of La Quinta
