We reached out to the team at Kayak, the travel-focused booking site, to find out the 10 cheapest United States cities to travel during the holiday weekend. Drum roll, please. They span the country, with attractions that range from Niagara Falls to Disney World.

As you peruse the list, the Kayak team has a few more tips for saving money on booking. First, check out their "Hacker Fares," which allow you to combine two one-way tickets on separate airlines when it's cheaper than a roundtrip. Second, input your budget into the site's Explore feature so you're only searching for flights you can afford.

Here are the cheapest New Year's Eve destinations, based on average prices from flight searches within the U.S. over the last two months.

1. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Average flight prices fall around $245 to watch fireworks light up the Atlantic Coast. The tourism bureau just posted a list of New Year’s Eve parties happening around town.

2. Buffalo, New York

Who needs to see the ball drop in Times Square when you can score a $285 flight to Niagara Falls? The park will host a special fireworks show at midnight.

3. Las Vegas, Nevada

You’ll have plenty of party options in Sin City, where flights are about $287 during the holiday weekend.

4. Orlando, Florida

Flights are still under $300 for a trip to the home of Disney World. The Magic Kingdom will be open until 1 a.m., with a fireworks show at midnight.

5. Nashville, Tennessee

The bachelorette party capital of the world is also a hot spot for New Year’s Eve revelers, with average flight prices at just $294. The city’s celebration revolves around country music, with Brooks and Dunn, Zac Brown Band and Kelsea Ballerini headlining the main stage.

6. Atlanta, Georgia

The host of college football’s Peach Bowl is also bringing back its “Peach Drop” celebration, with flights clocking in at about $300 for a weekend.

7. Chicago, Illinois

With average flight prices coming in at a buck over $300, the Windy City beckons with a ballroom bash on Navy Pier.

8. Atlantic City, New Jersey

You’ll dish out around $304 for a flight to Jersey, where plenty of hotels and casinos are hosting events; we’re jealous of everyone headed to see Earth Wind & Fire at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

9. Charleston, South Carolina

The second South Carolina destination on this list averages about $325 for flights to the port city for New Year’s Eve. The tourism bureau has a list of hotels offering holiday specials.

10. Kansas City, Missouri

DJs and other performers will gather in the Power & Light District, where bars and restaurants will open their doors amid confetti cannons and Champagne toasts. Flights are $333 on average.
