It’s time to make your spring break plans. If you’ve got your eye on Mexico, we're here to help. There are plenty of Cabo San Lucas hotels to choose from, whether you and your friends are looking for a cheap getaway, an over-the-top luxury experience or an all-inclusive vacation.

While the best hotels are often located near the beach, there are some great deals to be found just a few blocks from the sunny shoreline. If your group is set on a beachfront resort, expect higher prices but with the tradeoff of better amenities, high-end dining and more activities to do at the property.

With spring break coming up, these are the best Cabo San Lucas hotels to book for the vacation you’ve been dreaming about all winter.

Best budget-friendly hotel: Siesta Suites

Right in the heart of Cabo San Lucas is Siesta Suites. The family-owned hotel has been welcoming guests since 1992 and is known for its cheap rates, where standard rooms sleep four people starting at just $65. For a little more room, the penthouse suite has a starting nightly price of $95, though it does sleep just two people.

Booking a stay here means that you’re just 10 minutes from the beach and a short one-block walk to all of the nightlife that Cabo has to offer. The hotel has free WiFi and an onsite Italian restaurant. The Terrace Bar is a nice spot to sit back and relax in the warm sun while sipping on local beers or mixed drinks.

Best resort: Montage Los Cabos

Live in the lap of luxury for a week at Montage Los Cabos, which is situated along Santa Maria Bay. The resort has easy access to some of the best snorkeling and diving in the region, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers, too. Along with water activities, there is a 19-hole golf course that boasts water views from every hole. After working up your appetite, head to one of the four restaurants at the resort, where local ingredients are used to create stunning meals. There is an upscale Mexican restaurant, but one of the most unique dining options is Talay, a family-style Thai restaurant that boasts a beautiful outdoor setting with lanterns and string lights hanging overhead.

The rooms here are immaculate with coastal and ocean views. Each room has a marble bathroom and a private terrace. For the ultimate luxury experience, book one of the rooms that also has an adjoining private pool on the terrace. While the smallest king bedroom can only sleep three people, the queen bedrooms can sleep up to five.

Best luxury boutique hotel: Las Ventanas al Paraiso

With just 84 suites and villas, Las Ventanas al Paraiso is a stunning boutique hotel worth the money. Complimentary with every stay is a tequila welcome, nightly entertainment, access to the tennis courts, and fresh fruit and bottled water. Dining is an exquisite affair with a Prohibition-era-style bar, a stunning restaurant featuring traditional Oaxacan cuisine, and more.

The smallest of the room types is the junior suite, which measures anywhere from 960 to 1,400 square feet, and can accommodate up to three people. Each suite has hand-carved elements, beautiful tile, and an adobe fireplace. The outdoor terrace has a telescope for looking at stars and planets after the sun goes down. For even more room, consider a one-bedroom villa which includes a private patio for dining, a private courtyard, and an outdoor shower. As if that wasn’t enough, each villa has its own infinity pool, hot tub, and fire pit for guests to enjoy.

Best beachfront hotel: Bahia Hotel & Beach House

Located along one of the most sought-after shorelines is the Bahia Hotel & Beach House. Here the beach is just a three-minute walk from the front of the hotel. Down on the sand, a live DJ plays music, the waitstaff brings over margaritas and fresh seafood, and water activities like kayaking and wave runners are available.

Rooms at the hotel are minimalist but spacious. The light wood and white details help bring the beachy feel into the space. Those who want the ultimate beach club experience will want to book the poolside villa, which has its own private hot tub and direct access to the pool. Guests who book the villa also have preferred seating at the onsite restaurant SUR Beach House. Groups of four will love the deluxe double, where there is plenty of storage space for everything that’s needed for the week. These rooms also have a cute balcony where you can see the stunning mountains in the distance.

Best foodie hotel: Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal

Foodies looking for a hot spot to sip and savor in Cabo San Lucas will want to check into the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal. Even getting to the hotel is a unique experience where travelers go through “Mexico’s only private tunnel,” according to the website before emerging on the other side to stunning views and heavenly smells. With almost a dozen different dining options, this is a foodie paradise. Start your morning with breakfast at Don Manuel’s, where house-made chilaquiles are a fan favorite. Take an afternoon to participate in a study of agave at Peacock Alley, where spirits are paired with local delicacies. As night falls, Travesia at Su Cocina highlights regional Mexican cuisine, all through the humble taco.

Rooms at the hotel are just as spectacular as the restaurants, with ocean views, private infinity plunge pools, custom-made furniture, beach bags, binoculars and gas fireplaces. The bathrooms have a soaking tub, a separate rain shower, and a hand-painted vanity.

Best all-inclusive: Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort and Spa

All-inclusives can be a great deal if you plan on hanging out at the hotel for the majority of your trip. At Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort and Spa, all-inclusive plans are optional but can be a great way to save money if you want to enjoy the hotel amenities. Suites have marble floors and counters, an ocean view from the private balcony or terrace, a flat-screen TV, and a wet bar.

Around the resort, there are poolside restaurants and swim-up bars, a private beach, family and adults-only pools, and complimentary WiFi. At the signature restaurant La Roca, farm-to-table cuisine is highlighted, and views of the ocean come complimentary with al fresco seating. For something a little different, Don Luis has an eclectic international menu where food from Argentina and Italy is showcased, along with regional Mexican options.
